Packaging Redesign

Re-designing chilled espresso into a boxed wine packaging. In this project, I took a Vin Vault wine box and used it as a template to construct a re-designed package for chilled espresso. The logo and box design are all original content while the text and ingredient/nutrition facts come from Kroger's Mocha Iced Coffee container.

Logo Sketches

For the project, I had to come up with a name quickly and stick with it. To reach the name Quick Shot, I made a word web of all things coffee related. I wanted an adjective and a noun to give the product a memorable name.

I experimented with variations of type trying the transitional, serif typeface Baskerville but that felt a little too old fashion. I also tried a sans-serif typeface to give it a modern feel but it wasn't giving me the right personality. I finally stuck with the serif typeface Dido and set it in italics to get the appropriate slant for the logo.

I used a metal texture for the box to give it an industrial feeling like something that you might find in a modern coffee shop.
